Billy Freeman was raised in the creeks and on the ocean in the Charleston, South Carolina area. He has had a passion for boats and boatbuilding since his teenage years. Billy moved to catamarans after getting sick and tired of getting beat up in monohulls. While his Manta 24 was a huge improvement over his previous monohulls, he felt there was still room for improvement. Billy knew that there were fisherman around the country that wanted a cat, but couldn't deal with slow speeds, poor handling in certain conditions, and most important poor curb appeal.
He fixed all the negatives and utilized the positives of his Manta and with a clean sheet of paper designed the Freeman 33. A design that is already changing the industry.
In April 2008 we relocated to 1750 Signal Point Road in Charleston, South Carolina where we occupied a 13,000 sqare foot facility. In April of 2011 we added an additional 17,000 square feet to expand our growing business. It is a 30,000 square foot facility that will allow us to grow into an already promising future.
