Lamination Tech

 Qualifications:

  • No prior experience or training.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspection of all gel coated parts from Gel-coating

  • Application of skin coat – Chopped strand mat

  • Inspection of skin coat from contamination of air voids

  • Light sanding of skin coat to remove any protruding glass

  • Application of bulk laminates

  • Application of hull or deck coring materials

  • Application of hull or deck backing materials and reinforcements

  • Rolling out or purging of all air bubbles in laminates

  • Installation, bonding, and lamination of Transom Core

  • Inspection of laminated parts.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Continually required to stand

  • Occasionally required to walk

  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity

  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl

  • Frequently work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
